Saylor keeps $100 STRC in his sights while the stock reads the map upside down 🧭

Michael Saylor reiterated on X on July 1, 2026, that Strategy’s corporate objective is for its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock ($STRC) to trade between $99 and $100 over time. The post mirrors language from a Monday press release and does not add new detail, but its arrival during a rebound from STRC’s all-time low of $71.25 set on June 26 reads as a deliberate signal from the company as the security climbs back toward par.

STRC, a preferred instrument designed to trade close to its $100 face value rather than common equity, hit its low in the same week that Bitcoin ($BTC) slipped below $60,000. The simultaneous moves deepened a slide that had already drawn outside scrutiny, including sharp public criticism from Ripple (XRP) CEO Brad Garlinghouse and the opening of a securities investigation by Rosen Law Firm into the company’s disclosures.

Strategy, which adjusts STRC’s dividend monthly based on the stock’s trading level, Bitcoin’s price and volatility, and its own cash reserves, raised the dividend rate by 50 basis points to 12% on June 29. The new rate applies to July record dates and is part of a broader capital management overhaul announced the same day. The company has stated it will not raise the rate automatically simply because the stock trades below par.

STRC has since recovered to around $87.46, narrowing the gap to its $100 target but still leaving roughly $13 to close. Saylor’s X post said only, “As Strategy disclosed Monday: our corporate objective is for $STRC to trade over time at $99–$100,” repeating the press release language without elaboration.

Whether STRC can return to par depends largely on Bitcoin’s price, which remains the primary driver of Strategy’s capital structure and its ability to cover the preferred dividend.
