Disclosure Drops: Trump's Crypto Cash Haul Hits $1.2B, Mostly Memes and Middlemen 🧾

President Donald Trump reported more than $1.2 billion in earnings from cryptocurrency ventures in 2025, according to his annual financial disclosure released Tuesday by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics. The report, which spans over 900 pages, itemizes income and holdings across the president's business interests, with crypto-related line items among the largest. Trump also disclosed holdings of more than $50 million in Bitcoin and between $5 million and $25 million in Ethereum, alongside other digital assets.

Approximately $635 million of the total came from royalties tied to the TRUMP meme coin, generated through a licensing agreement with Celebration Coins. The token launched on the Solana network days before Trump returned to office in January 2025, briefly reaching a multibillion-dollar market capitalization before retreating. As of Tuesday, TRUMP traded at $1.66 with a $394 million market cap, down roughly 98% from its all-time high on January 19, 2025. An additional $588 million in net proceeds came from token sales distributed by World Liberty Financial, the decentralized finance and stablecoin venture operated by the Trump family and associates.

Today's filing follows a May disclosure that listed the president's gains from securities trading, including crypto-related stocks such as Robinhood and Coinbase. The president's crypto businesses remain a flashpoint on Capitol Hill, where Democrats have withheld support for the Clarity Act over its absence of ethics provisions barring the president and his family from cryptocurrency-related ventures. The bill, which cleared the House, is pending in the Senate.

Separately, New York Life Investment Management is bringing a slice of its fixed-income business onchain through a partnership with tokenization platform Centrifuge. The firms announced Tuesday the launch of the NYLIM Anemoy U.S. High Yield Corporate Bond Segregated Portfolio under the ticker HYB, NYLIM's first tokenized product and one of the earliest institutional offerings of its kind to crypto-native investors.

In corporate crypto treasury activity, Sharplink added 10,000 ETH for roughly $16 million last week, its first acquisition since October. The Ethereum treasury firm now holds 886,725 ETH valued at approximately $1.38 billion, as $ETH traded near $1,562 on Tuesday. "Our capital allocation philosophy is disciplined and straightforward: Every financing decision we make is based on strategic alignment with our long-term shareholder value," the company said.
