Cathie Wood: Capital Flight Will Reignite Bitcoin's Bull Run — AI Just Doesn't Have the Receipts 🧾

ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood has identified capital outflows from politically and economically unstable countries as the catalyst for Bitcoin's next rally, even as she acknowledged that artificial intelligence is currently drawing liquidity away from the digital asset market. In a post on X, Wood argued that nations experiencing instability will continue to push capital into Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, providing a fresh source of demand for the asset class.

Wood conceded that the surge in artificial intelligence investment has absorbed a significant share of capital that might otherwise have flowed into crypto. "AI has launched a technology revolution, deservedly sucking a lot of oxygen out of the investment world, but it cannot serve as the insurance policy protecting wealth that many people in the world are seeking right now," the ARK Invest CEO said. Her comments align with remarks from BlackRock CIO Rick Rieder, who similarly noted that Bitcoin is contending with competition from technology stocks and emerging markets for capital, while maintaining that BTC will appreciate over the longer term.

Wood reinforced Bitcoin's investment thesis by emphasizing that no other asset, including those tied to the artificial intelligence sector, can replicate BTC's function as a store of value. She reiterated that Bitcoin's narrative as a hedge against currency debasement and inflation remains intact, framing the current lull in price action as a liquidity-driven phase rather than a structural shift.
