LAB rallies 13% while shorts discover the $18 support zone was not, in fact, optional 📉➡️📈

By our Markets Desk2 min read

LAB advanced more than 13% over the past 24 hours, with prices trading around $19.25 as the token pushed back above the $19 region following a successful retest of support near $18. The buying interest followed a sharp pullback and kept the rising trendline intact, with buyers repeatedly defending higher lows after the earlier correction.

Spot trading activity cooled materially during the move, with daily trading volume falling 59.62% to approximately $347 million, indicating reduced participation even as the price climbed. Despite the lighter volume, the market structure remained constructive as LAB held above the $18 breakout zone and forced another round of forced selling from bearish positions.

Derivatives markets skewed heavily against short sellers. Total short liquidations reached approximately $54.87K, compared with just $1.15K in long liquidations. Binance accounted for the largest share of bearish losses at about $26.99K, followed by OKX with roughly $9.61K and Bybit with nearly $7.65K. Bitget recorded around $6.93K in short liquidations, while HTX contributed about $105.52. On the long side, Binance led liquidations with approximately $878.41, with Bybit and OKX recording $52.41 and $89.72, respectively.

Technical indicators reinforced the upside bias, as the MACD line climbed above the signal line and green histogram bars continued to expand, reflecting improving momentum following the recent bullish crossover. No bearish crossover appeared on the indicator as LAB approached the upper boundary of its current trading range.

If demand holds around current levels, price could challenge the psychological $20 area before attempting another advance toward the major $30 resistance. Conversely, a loss of the $18 support would weaken the recovery and reopen the door to a corrective phase.
