Polygon Pushed Past 7.95M Daily Txs — POL Pops 5% While Whales YOLO 6M Tokens 🐳

Polygon processed slightly over 7.95 million transactions in a single day, marking the highest daily transaction count recorded this month, according to on-chain data. Activity has since eased but remains elevated, averaging above 7 million transactions per day and bringing Polygon's cumulative count since launch to more than 7.54 billion. Network operators have attributed part of the throughput to recently deployed payment infrastructure, which Polygon said now supports over 5,000 payments per second.

POL gained 5% in the prior 24 hours before retracing slightly, with daily trading volume near $50 million and a volume-to-market-cap ratio of 5.44%, indicating rising liquidity. The token's stablecoin supply has continued to expand, with the stablecoin market cap on Polygon standing above $3.45 billion and ranking the network as the eighth largest by that measure. The network currently operates with 102 validators, a figure that has drawn scrutiny over decentralization, though analysts note that validator count is only one factor alongside stake distribution, validator diversity, and governance structure.

On-chain data tracked by Arkham showed a wallet depositing roughly $310,000 in USDC into FalconX before purchasing 6 million POL tokens worth about $474,000 at an average price of $0.07899. Such movements can reflect either accumulation by external parties or token-sale facilitation by the Polygon team via FalconX, and the wallet's intent has not been publicly confirmed.

POL's price has broken above a horizontal resistance level at $0.08135, a zone that had previously capped the token in a sideways range with support at $0.07232. At press time, the Relative Strength Index was reading 70 with an upward slope, and the Bull Bear Power indicator was positive, both consistent with buyer-side pressure. A sustained close above $0.08135 would put the next technical hurdle at $0.08806 and a target near $0.09511, while a failure to hold $0.08135 would shift the pair back into consolidation or decline.
