Pi's Protocol v25 upgrade lifts PI 9% — but $0.14 sell wall still says "hold my node" 🥁

Pi Network's native token, PI, climbed more than 9% over the past week after the project confirmed that the majority of mainnet node operators had upgraded to Protocol v25. The team urged remaining operators to complete the migration as soon as possible, noting that the upgrade follows an earlier network update aimed at increasing decentralization.

The price advance carried PI toward $0.14, a level that functioned as a short-term sell wall in June. On the 12-hour chart at press time, an upside candlestick wick indicated that sellers were already active at that zone, raising the risk of another rejection if short-term supply continues to accumulate.

Technicals showed a potential bearish MACD death cross forming, though the signal was not yet confirmed. A drop in $BTC toward $60,000 could reinforce the bearish setup, while a relief rally in $BTC toward $66,000 would likely invalidate it. In that scenario, a break above $0.14 could open a path to $0.15 and $0.155, whereas a rejection may drag PI back to $0.13 or lower.

Market sentiment around PI briefly turned positive during the upgrade, aligning with the two-day rally, before slipping back to negative and easing near neutral as of writing. With no further ecosystem updates cited, the next directional move for PI is likely to track $BTC's trajectory in the short term.
