Crypto's Octagon Takeover: Polymarket, VeChain & Stake Logo Up at White House UFC 🥊
Crypto firms including VeChain, Polymarket, and Stake are slated to have their logos displayed on the UFC Octagon at Sunday's UFC event on the White House South Lawn, according to photos shared on X by freelance photographer Andrew Leyden. The bout, officially titled UFC Freedom 250, is co-presented by Crypto.com, which signed a long-running sponsorship with the fighting league. The event coincides with President Donald Trump's 80th birthday.
A Polymarket spokesperson told Decrypt that the prediction market—whose overseas operations count Donald Trump Jr. as an advisor—is "representing the shared spirit of competition, participation, and civic engagement that prediction markets bring to life." The company said it is presenting a community-focused award "recognizing the exceptional military, law enforcement, and first responders who demonstrate outstanding service."
Exodus, the self-custodial finance platform, was named the championship's official payments partner less than two weeks ago. An Exodus spokesperson said the firm is proud to support the event as part of its broader sponsorship with the league, adding that the arrangement is not tied to "any political party, candidate, or policy agenda" but is instead aimed at connecting with a global audience. Exodus team members will be on-site for "activations connected to the fan experience," according to the company.
Crypto ventures tied to the president have drawn allegations of corruption, though the White House has repeatedly denied that those dealings create conflicts of interest. On Friday, a federal judge blocked a request from two Virginia residents seeking to stop the fight from taking place on federal grounds. U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta, an Obama appointee, found the plaintiffs lacked legal standing and had waited too long to request emergency intervention, per CNN.
At a press conference for the White House bout, UFC CEO Dana White said weeks ago that athletes awarded a Fight of the Night bonus would receive the largest bonus in the promotion's history, according to Decrypt's reporting.
