Bitget CFD Goes Commission-Free as Monthly Volume Hits $8B, Zero-Fee Mode Targets $10B 🚀
Bitget has launched a Zero-Fee Mode for its Bitget CFD platform, introducing a commission-free account option alongside the platform's existing ECN Mode. The rollout comes as Bitget CFD reported $8 billion in trading volume in May, with the exchange positioning the new structure to capture users seeking simpler cost models with standard spreads and no trading commissions.
The dual-account framework allows traders to choose between the original ECN Mode, which features tighter volume-based commissions, and the new Zero-Fee Mode, which removes trading commissions while applying standard spreads. Bitget said the structure is designed to give users more control over how they engage with global markets across a single multi-asset interface.
"CFD is central to how Bitget is delivering that future," CEO Gracy Chen said, referring to the rise of multi-asset trading. Chen added that the new mode advances the exchange's mission of building flexibility into how users access global markets, framing CFDs as a core component of Bitget's broader product roadmap.
The launch builds on momentum flagged in the platform's earlier disclosures, in which Bitget indicated that daily trading volume on its CFD product was trending toward $10 billion. With May's $8 billion monthly figure, the exchange is positioning the zero-fee structure as a lever to convert interest in cost-sensitive segments of the derivatives market into sustained volume growth.
CFDs, or contracts for difference, allow traders to speculate on asset price movements without holding the underlying token or stock, and have become a recurring feature of multi-asset platforms serving both crypto and traditional finance users. Bitget's expansion places it in direct competition with other exchanges and brokers that have similarly experimented with commission-free tiers to attract retail flow.
The Zero-Fee Mode is available to Bitget CFD users starting at launch, with the exchange stating that both account types can be accessed under the same user login, and existing ECN Mode users can continue trading without changes to their current fee schedule.
