Trump Media's Bitcoin Stash Drops Another 2,650 BTC to Crypto.com
Trump Media & Technology Group moved 2,650 Bitcoin to Crypto.com, a transfer worth roughly $205 million at current prices. The deposit marks the company's second major outflow from its Bitcoin wallets this year. Analytics firm Lookonchain flagged the movement—though crypto veterans know that exchange deposits and actual sales are technically different things. TMTG originally accumulated 11,542 BTC at an average cost of $118,522 per coin, deploying approximately $1.37 billion of corporate treasury into the asset. Unfortunately for the balance sheet, Bitcoin currently trades near $77,700, leaving the holdings about 34% underwater. The position now carries an unrealized shortfall of roughly $455 million—a number that would make even the most die-hard DCA enthusiast wince.
The first major outflow happened four months ago, when 2,000 BTC left company wallets at $87,378 per coin, totaling about $175 million, per Lookonchain data. TMTG's Q1 earnings disclosure confirmed the treasury dropped to 9,542 BTC after that move. The latest 2,650 BTC transfer has further trimmed the stash to approximately 6,889 BTC. For context, that's still a lot of Bitcoin—but not quite the moon-sized stack the company once bragged about.
The deposit follows a $406 million net loss reported earlier this month, with $368.7 million of that stemming from unrealized markdowns on digital assets and equity securities. The company also holds 756 million Cronos (CRO) tokens, valued at roughly $2.64 million, which likely brings some comfort to… someone. On-chain watchers will be keeping an eye on the next settlement window to see whether this transfer ends in another confirmed sale or just lives forever in Crypto.com's hot wallet.
